Romance Writers of Australia Conference

I've been busy organising things for this years RWA conference in August.

It's in Adelaide, at the Stamford Grand Hotel in Glenelg,  and the theme of the fancy dress cocktail party on the Friday night is 'Love is a Cabaret.' I've been searching for an outfit, so hopefully I'll decide on one soon. There's a fine line between Flapper costumes and Cabaret costumes.

It's an exciting time of year and this year I'll be away in August, then September to Uluru, and October I'm heading to Broome and then along the coast line of WA. I have a brother in Perth, and one who lives near Margaret River so I'm eager to catch up with them also.

I'm going to pitch at the conference and haven't as yet decided whom to pitch to. It will happen as I have to book in, but not sure of the deadline.

So if your'e attending get those costumes out, and perfect that pitch. It's going to be exciting. I'm looking forward to catching up with authors, readers, and editors. See you there. :)

Pirates are on the High Seas

It has come to my attention that pirates are listing my e-books as free books on various sites over the Internet.

I do not list any of my novels anywhere but on Amazon, and at a small cost to the reader. At times I may undertake a free give away, but that is on my blog or website.

If you come across a site that has free eBooks, please respect the hard work of the author. Most authors do not list their books for free. If you download you are a criminal. An author's work is copyrighted.

I'm in the process of filling out DMCA forms to have them removed. Most often it is not the site owners who are responsible, and some have no idea they are holding copyrighted material. It is the fault of individuals who have no respect for personal property, and that's what an authors work is...their personal belongings. If you steal possessions it is illegal.

If you are an author it would be wise to input your name into a search engine adding free e-books. It's amazing what you may find.

Blurb:

When Kate loses the last member of her family, she retreats to Farview, a cattle property on the northern tablelands of NSW Australia, to overcome her loss, to be closer to her memories and to take over where her grandmother left off.

But she doesn't expect a Jackaroo to saunter into her home late one night, where she holds him at gunpoint.

He introduces himself as Ryan Cross, The Farm Sitter, who remains employed by her late grandmother. According to her will, Kate cannot force him to leave, and it is important for her to honour her grandmother's wishes.

Kate is attracted to the sexy stranger, but suspicion cocoons her. It appears not everyone is willing to admit the truth.

Email from a Reader

What a touching email. I received this email the other day, and it truly inspires me to do my utmost best.

I am overwhelmed.

Hi Suzanne,
Just wanted to drop you a few lines to express appreciation for your books. I think I have read them all except one which I started this am. I am not a romantic at heart but found your books about so much more.
I was born and bred in Barraba NSW and have lived in Narrabri, Moree, Gunnedah, Wee Waa, Tamworth. I have lived in Toowoomba as well but now find myself settled between Wauchope and Port Macquarie. So needless to say I can relate to the setting of your stories. I have found myself having great difficulty to stop reading your stories and do other tasks or get off to sleep. Your stories are captivating to say the least.

Please keep your great work coming.

 Thank you.

Out Now. Outback Surprise. Book 2/3
