It has come to my attention that pirates are listing my e-books as free books on various sites over the Internet.I do not list any of my novels anywhere but on Amazon, and at a small cost to the reader. At times I may undertake a free give away, but that is on my blog or website.
If you come across a site that has free eBooks, please respect the hard work of the author. Most authors do not list their books for free. If you download you are a criminal. An author's work is copyrighted.
I'm in the process of filling out DMCA forms to have them removed. Most often it is not the site owners who are responsible, and some have no idea they are holding copyrighted material. It is the fault of individuals who have no respect for personal property, and that's what an authors work is...their personal belongings. If you steal possessions it is illegal.
If you are an author it would be wise to input your name into a search engine adding free e-books. It's amazing what you may find.
