This will be our 19th Conference. Woo Hoo!
A little over a month until our conference. The clock is ticking fast. I can't believe it's almost here.
This years Romance Writers of Australia's conference is at the Crown Plaza, Coogee Beach. It's on the 13th-15th of August and it will be mighty cold. The theme is fantasy island. Usually I have an outfit organised by now for the Friday night Cocktail Party, but I have no idea of what I'm dressing up in-I haven't given it a thought until now. I couldn't imagine getting around in my bikini, or sarong to keep the chill factor away. Any ideas out there? lol
Editors taking pitches are: Diane Moggy - Harlequin, Jennifer Schober - Spencerhill, Sophie Hamely - Aus agent, Ali Watts - Penguin, and
Bernadette Foley from Hachette. Apparently there are going to be lots of other agents and editors who aren't taking pitches though.
It's also a chance to catch up with all those writers and authors from around Australia that I only see once a year. Although we communicate regularly it's great to have a drink and live chat. Waving madly at everyone.
Okay, lot's of writing to do between now and then. I hope the magic fairy visits and sprinkles a hell of a lot of word dust over me. It's either that or type faster, I've got a lot to do.
