Writing courses etcetera

I came across this useful information about a Gemini. :)

Respected for their intelligence to be creatively original. I'm a Gemini, and they say we are our best in teaching, writing, typing, journalism, media, and any other line that requires mental input. This would be great for a lifetime profession. Well that's it, my lifetime profession, writing. Work is an outlet to express our creative need.
Now that does sound very promising. Lol. I also pasted it to your right. Afterall I am supposed to think and act positive at all times. :) Am I right?

Also, being a writer, we never cease to learn something new each day. Thus that being said, I'm trying to get into Margie Lawson’s next course, Empowering Characters Emotions, starting on March lst. I've heard so much about it, and well, I want to learn new things. lol. I want to learn everything I can about writing. So here's hoping there is a space for me next week. I'm not sure how much time each day is required, but I can always do my writing at night.
  • Want to add a psychological punch to your writing and editing? Yes please.
  • Want to learn how to capture the full range of body language on the page? Yes please.
  • Want to turn your work into a page-turner by powering up emotion and hooking the reader viscerally? Yes Please. Lol
  • Look forward to learning: Very much so.
Fingers crossed I still have time to register and they are not full up. Ho hum. :)

What courses have you as a writer undertaken? Or what courses are you wanting to undertake?
Okay, lots to do, people to met, places to go, and lots of writing and writing related tasks that require my attention. Enjoy your weekend.

Gona Have Fun

SATURDAY
On Saturday we headed for the beach and it was like Fijian waters, with the same idylic temperture inside and out. We both got a little burnt, not too bad though, but enough to have a pinkish tone. lol.. Although we had a beach umbrella and suncreen on, I think it was because I didn't want to get out of the water. I floated over those swells feeling like I was actually in Fiji or Hawaii. It was so serene.

This is not the usual beach we use to go to. This one is a little further south, about five minutes. It's protected from the north easterly breeze. Well, I call it wind, but others say breeze. I don't like wind, or too much breeze. I love the humidity, the tropical weather we are having and have been having for the last month. It's glorious. Every second or third afternoon we are getting heavy showers and the smell of summer is so fragrant in the air.

This is the other end of the one above. So deserted a Paradise Just for Two. :)

SUNDAY VALENTINES DAY

I had a beautiful Valentines day and night. I forgot the camera on Sunday night, but nevertheless, it was a lovely romantic dinner right beside the blue water. A lush tropical night. What else could I ask for. Ahhhhh.....:)

During the day on Sunday, we had a lovely picnic down by the river, with prawns and wine. I just looovvveeee prawns. :)

It was another beautiful day in Paradise. The water was so blue and flat. Ahmmmm...:)

That wraps up my weekend. How was yours?

TUESDAY Look what was waiting for me on my walk this morning. This Goanna was certainly having fun once he climbed up that tree. His eye didn't leave the camera, or was it me. Yikes. lol

I jumped out of my skin. I think we both got a fright. He was on the track to the beach, I slammed to a halt and he skiddered up the nearest tree. Seeing he got just as much of a shock as I did, I asked him to pose for my camera. I'm glad he stayed up the tree. There is another that lives in the area and he is much larger, very large. Sometimes I think it's related to the crocodile. lol. Its gigantic. One day I might get a photo of him if I'm lucky, but he's pretty damn quick.

This one is relatively small. I'll have to be careful next time I walk through the track to the ocean. There are so many of them in the bush. I usually don't take any notice until I hear them rustle through the scrub. I do get a fright now and again. lol.. But nothing will stop me getting out and enjoying a fast paced walk. Not even big Daddy Goanna. lol.

Okay, back to work for a few days. I'll be stuck in writing land after the housework, washing ironing and all that lovely stuff. But I love a clean house. After that I'm organised. :) Have a great day, week and enjoy whatever it is that you do.
Suzanne. :)

Romance Writers of Australia Blogspot

Firstly I would like to thank you for stopping by and wishing me well. It means so much. I can't wait until I have the official blurb and excerpt to share.

I've just been over visiting RWAustralia's BlogSpot. http://romanceaustralia.wordpress.com/
reading the interview about Heather Boyd and her daily life as a writer. But I must tell you I am fascinated with her idea of keeping a daily diary. Now why haven't I been doing this? Hmmm....:)

This is exactly what I need. It will allow me to find out how much time I do spend writing (well we know it’s a fair amount of time, around three to four full days a week, some weeks more) but now I'll be able to pinpoint exactly.

Also, it will allow me to find out how much time I spend on blogs, posting, and other areas of my writing life. I am a member of that many writing resource websites, I've lost count. Now I can write them all down and see how much time I spend there.

Another objective is to find out how much time and what I do in marketing my novels. How much time I spend in this area is unknown. I did intend to do a lot more, but as I said, my writing days will be accounted for in a professional way.

Do you keep a diary? If so, what do you put in there?

Well, until next time, my sign is on my door for the next few days. I plan to spend some long hours writing. The intercom/doorbell is switched on and I can see who it is, so if anyone comes knocking and they aren't fire brigade, police or an emergency I won't be answering.

Keep well and happy writing, reading, relaxing, or whatever it is you do to make it your day. Suzanne :)

Caught Off Guard

Gee, caught off guard. Kreative Blog Award. Many thanks to the lovely Mel Teshco...

Seven interesting/fun things about me. Geeish, now that's going to be pretty hard.

  1. I have scuba dived off and around almost all the islands around the Whitsundays, and far north Queensland.
  2. I walk a lot to keep the heart and other organs healthy.
  3. I got married in Hawaii, in 2008 in Honololu,  south of Waikiki Beach.
  4. I'm going to write for the rest of my life. So I have a considerable way to go as yet. :)
  5. I cook most nights of the week. Home cooked meals are the best and so much better for us.
  6. I was born in the country, raised in cities, and now live in a lovely seaside town right beside the Pacific Ocean.
  7. I want a big, big dog, but hubby said he won't clean up the poos. Ho Hum... Well I certainly am not! lol

Gee, I know it's not too intereting, but whats a girl gotta do to answer these type of questions.

But that's not all,

Helene Young has an interview on her blog, and the question came up about Jams. What is the most unusal Jam you have tried. I came up with the most unusual Jams, Door Jam and Toe Jam. I so so want to read her upcoming release, Border Watch. :) She is celebrating her first Hachette author interview and is giving away a copy of ‘Border Watch’.
Check out her blog, and perhaps you too can win a copy. :) http://www.heleneyoung.com/category/blog/

But that's still not all, :) After being out for the day and celebrating our most favourable day, Australia Day, I'm bushed.

Happy Australia Day
Suzanne :) :)

Out Now. Outback Surprise. Book 2/3

I'm pleased to announce the release of Outback Surprise at all Amazon Kindle Stores. Enjoy :) x Blurb:  Tiffany Walker’s life is turned...
