Update

I thought I should come in and update. Currently I'm having computer problems. Geeish. My laptops video card or whatever has died.  So hopefully that will be winging it's way to be fixed very soon. Luckily it is still under warranty. My computer is working okay except for the internet when everytime I get onto blogger internet explorer closes down. So I'm on hubbies computer. lol... My last post has vanished and I can't reload it and the photos were on my laptop. So here I am. :) Luckily all my manuscripts are on memory keys.

On the writing front. Well for the first past of 2009 I worked on a manuscript with an editor for about three months. She wanted to contract it and requested a contract for it. Apparently this is a new protocol, but the senior editor said it lacked pizzaz... Boo Hoo! Therefore I sent it to another publishing house and they loved it but unfortunately they were just about to publish a story very similar. Ho Hum. Just missed out there. Nevertheless I sent in another, a partial and they requested the full six weeks later. I guess I'll hear back from them next year now.  I have also spent another six months studying the craft of writing in a different line where I gleaned everything I could find. lol  So hopefully it may pay off next year.

Christmas is almost upon us and things have slowed. I guess everywhere it slows down a little until mid to late January. Okay I should go. It's late and I need sleep. :)
Keep well and hopefully I will get to your blog soon. I think I'll feel better once my laptop is fixed and my computers internet explorer doesn't shut down on me. lol... These trials are surely put there to drive one crazy I'm sure of that.

2009 National Novel Month Completed! Yah!

FINALLY! Phew. This year has been the hardest NaNo I have written. Gee, it seems so long ago I started, ages in fact.
Well this one will be tucked away for at least two months, then back to editing. I have enjoyed doing the NaNo's though, and will probably continue to do so.

Also I am writing a novel... a non fiction based on a true story. I've been adding a few pages at a time. So one day I may get it finished. This is a swing from romance, but don't worry I have that many romance stories building in my head.

Here is a list of where I'm at in the world of Romance: I thought about writing the titles but changed my mind due to wanting to keep some of them. lol...

Manuscripts finished. I will probably go over these one more time before sending away. lol.. Perfectionist in me.

Then on the weekend we are off down south for a weeks break. Taking some time out to get to know my husband a little better. lol...  Phew... I'm  certainly looking forward to a break. :)

New Website

Hi, if you have time please check out my new website. It's been up for over a month and with the NaNo I hadn't time to tell you. I wanted colours to reflect what I write, colours to reflect me as an individual and photographs of my surrounding area (the most exotic country in the world) :)

Woo Hoo! Update

My little widget is not working once again, but I have reached 44.011 words. YAH! I had a brainstorming session yesterday morning with a writer friend and sorted out a few backstory problems. BUT... lol

Honey it's crap, it's always crap. Every book I write is crap. It's my job to fix the crap afterwards.
I can relate to this while doing the first draft. Perhaps it's not all crap, but some of it doesn't make sense.

I can't wait until the time comes to undertake my next draft. That's when the story comes alive by adding emotion, and the tid bits of scenery etc.

Well thought I'd pop in to update. I hope everyone else is sailing along.
