Social Media

I am not the only one who seems to be having a little difficulty with Social Media. With Face book, Twitter, Linkedin, Google + and may more sites which are real time munchers.

I am okay at Twitter, Face book...but.. with face book lately on my author page it says asks friends to like you and it lists those friends. I have ticked some but I'm sure some of these people are getting double invites, perhaps more. For that I apologise. Doesn't Face book know if you have liked my page or not?  Ho Hum.... :)

I'd like to get more involved on the Social Media sites but I also want to write more. It's hard to find that balance and even when I say I'll spend so much time on each it doesn't seem enough as I find I want to do more. I guess there is no easy way out so I have decided to keep Face book and Twitter and Goodreads. So if you send me a message on any other site I probably won't answer, as I no longer visit them.

How do you manage Social Media sites and how do you incorporate them with your writing life?  I'd certainly welcome any tips on juggling them.

Well, it's Friday again here in Australia, so I hope everyone has a lovely weekend. And dont' forget to smile. You know you use more muscles to frown and less when you smile. :) :) Bye 4 now. Be good.

I share your pain, Suzanne. FB keeps prompting me to send 'like' messages for my author page but when I check many of the people have already been kind enough the 'like' me... Very strange...

And then there's the prompt to ask me to pay money to promote my posts... sigh...

Not sure what the answer other than to get writing that next book!!

I totally agree Helene

Face book is doing the same to me and it so hard to check everyone.

Write the next book sounds the better option. :)

Twitter overwhelms me with all the chatter. FB ticks me off because now if you want people to see your page, they have to subscribe.

Some people will see the post, but a big percentage won't--unless they add them to their list of subscribed pages.

Oy. It's always something.

I'm afraid I don't Twitter or FB. My only social media site is my blog. As I suffer from CFS I have a limited amount of energy to spend each day. If it's a choice between writing and social media-ing then it comes down to writing each and every time. So I guess the choice is more or less made for me.

So sorry to hear you are not well. CFS is a terrible thing to have. Some people do overcome :)CFS. I hope you are one of them.

Writing is much more exciting isn't it? :)
