Hunter Romance Writers

I packed up and headed south to the Hunter Romance Writer's monthly meeting yesterday. It takes exactly 2.5 hours of driving time south to the Hunter Valley, and I use this time to think and plot out my work. I came up with some really good points for my writing.

The main topic we undertook was a Workshop with Stacey Nash on  Social Media. This proved such a benefit not only for myself but there were areas most of us weren't aware of. There was so much to take in, but it has helped. I wanted to thank Stacey for doing such a wonderful job.

Besides the Social workshop we do our usual goals and goals achieved for the month, and guess what no one wore the naughty hat this month. Woo Hoo!

We have homework. Yes, homework. We also discussed our next meeting where it will be a Workshop on Self Publishing running the whole day which I am looking forward to.

We talked about our  December meeting and I think we ended up saying this will be our Christmas Party so no meeting. Yah!!! It's Christmas so soon, almost. Gee where has the year gone?

We also brainstormed a story for one of our members, and basically talked writing, laughed a lot and had a wonderful time.  Afterwards we had lunch and our chatter remained. lol..

I had a great day, and came away inspired and refreshed knowing I have so many friends in the writing world it is fabulous.  Why would I want to do anything other than write? A few members were absent so I'm looking forward to seeing them next month.

Now to implement what I have learned in Social Media.  :)

Don't forget to smile. You know it takes more muscles to frown than it does to smile. Have a great week and whatever you do, do your best. :)
