Out and about up North.

The Kempsey bypass bridge opened in March, and I've travelled along it a few times now. It does cut the trip short when going up north. Apparently it's Australia's longest bridge of 14.5 kilometres. I snapped some shots. They give some idea of the marshland the bridge covers as well as the Mackay river.

Also this photograph was taken a few weeks back. It's my favourite of a small Kangaroo family.
They are so lovely, although dangerous. I think they are dangerous only when threatened. Who wouldn't be? Imagine a human being coming up and pointing, chatting in damn oweeiehowwwohhhh language and cooing out. It'd put anyone on guard. lol. Have a go at the baby. Isn't he cute? Love him. lol...

Off back to tackle the draft of a manuscript. It's raining today. Cold, grey, and miserable. A good day for writing. Take care. :)

That's one heck of a bridge, Suz!

Your 'roo family is very sweet and that's lovely looking bushland behind them.

They are lovely, aren't they Sandy. I love kangaroos and wish they were protected just like out Koala's.

Thank you Piter. :) My favourite is the kangaroo one. Although it was interesting going over the bridge. It took so long to build. lol. It's something for small country town area to have a bridge that size in their region.
