Road Trip---I'm home.

Phew, I'm back. I feel as though I've been gone for ages. But how wonderful is the Internet. :) It's windy and freezing here on the Mid North Coast of NSW. I left blue skies, although the temperature dropped to minus 5 during the night, it wasn't too bad. The days were around 16 degrees Celsius. There were no chilly winds.

I explored, met up with relo's and had a wonderful time. I don't usually head west at this time of the year and had forgotten just how harsh the frosts are. Trees blended with the landscape of brown as far as I could see. It was a relief to see a tinge of green travelling home. I also visited my Grandmother's grave site, left flowers, and gold butterflies to decorate her grave. She loved butterflies. :)
I was taken back when I found out the Toothless windmill had been replaced by an electric pump. A sign of the times so I am told. I loved that windmill. It was a marker. A windmill I used in one of my current wips which is looking for a home. :)

Here are some photographs so you know what I'm talking about. Mind you I got heaps more, but they are reserved for when a publisher picks up my current wip, the book of my heart, which is out there waiting for a big YES. YES. AND YES. lol...
Oh, it's Friday again. My how time goes so fast.
Have a good weekend.

Bye 4 now :)

I thought this bunch of rocks pictorial.
Can you see the chimpanzees sitting down having a pow wow.

Just a windmill
And the car got pretty dusty. But I assured hubby that was his job to wash it. Guess what it's raining. :)

How's this for a Cactus?

You're a brave woman venturing out west at this time of year, Suzanne. I hope you packed your wooly unmentionables. :)

Yes, I'm a coast girl at heart, love me some green.

That rock formation reminds me of a miniature version of Hanging Rock!

Hi Tarnya,
I think it's awesome. There were quite a few smaller ones scacttered around the property. I'm having a bit of trouble with google too, so you're not the only one. :)

Hi Sandy,
I didn't mind the minus temperature, as it was still. I arrive home to rain, and frosty winds that are going right through me. I also don't mind it out that way, although at a different time of year. And yes I'm a country girl and a coastal girl at heart. :)

The rock formations were at a place called Tingha where we passed through. My nan is buried there. :)

As for hanging Rock I believe there are a few places called Hanging rock. One near the state forest near nundle the other in the Southern highlands. Also another somewhere in Victoria. lol...
