My new writing room. :)

Harry isn't the only one who claimed this area as his. I'm spending quite a bit of time here lately, and guess what I do beside walking and swimming....writing. lol
As most of you know I'm a happy snapper. I love taking photographs of scenes, so I thought I'd share my front garden with you. I've been spending some time at Harry's Lookout. Harry Thompson lived in a caravan just in front of the the tables in the picture below for many years, until he moved down closer to the water. No one lives in vans on the ocean, but apparently Harry squatted and the council let him stay. If you did it now in 2012 I think they'd kick you off at once. lol. Harry has departed to a better beach, but has left many good memories for a lot of people. I think it's fabulous that there are monuments of the life he lived. I met Harry a few years before he passed away. He was the gate keeper to the beach. Below on a grassy patch near the beach is a statue of Harry carved out of timber, and stands at least ten metres high. He is looking out over the ocean, as though keeping watch. I should have got a photograph of that one.
I've been doing the stairs for a while now. They are steep and I've just counted them this morning. 242 plus 30 on the flat bridge. I go down the steps along the beach, up another set of steps and then back again. It's a good workout, and then after I make myself at home at the table I write, sometimes read, but I can guarantee its always something writing related. :) I absolutely adore this area and the beach below. So I'll leave you with a few photographs of a place where it is so serene, it's paradise. :)

I told you I was a happy snapper. :) Have a good week. :)

Hi Lucy,
The sun's heat has been really strong lately. It feels as though it is eating your flesh off. lol.. I'm a hat and sunscreen person. But mind you it wasn't always like that. Thank you for stopping in. :)

Hi Shelly,
It's a great place to plot, and think about writing etc. It's so quiet. Thank you for stopping by. :)
