What I've been up to.
Cooking. It's been a family tradition for to cook a date pudding. My grandmother's recipe. So I have bought the calico and I've just made a bag. I thought I had all the ingredients but I need some sherry. Okay, so the pudding and Christmas cake is postponed to another day.
I'm not doing the traditional hot meal though. It will be ham, prawns, lobster... all seafood which I totally love.
I remember the days when we dived for the lobbies...we use to have up to ten or more for Christmas day... it was so common to have lobster, now the price they charge makes me feel like jumping in the ocean and getting my own. But now, one has to have a licence... and whatever else just to keep lobby traps.
