It can affect anyone. Sunday 3rd Oct

I've just arrived back from Queensland, south Brisbane with a stop over on the Gold Coast to see my brother and go out for tea at a really nice tai restaurant. But, urgh!!! The weather is the same from QLD to NSW. Raining, and cold. It was freezing. lol.. So much for October and lovely sunny days. On the other hand our tanks were dry and the rain is welcomed.

I visited a girlfriend Pauline, who lives at Springfield Lakes, south Brisbane. I have always called her Polly. It's a nickname that has stuck for thirteen years. She has been diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease. The doctors have given her until February to live. What a blow!!!! Poor lady, she was always active, out going, and full of spirit and so energetic. It's sad to see her deteriorate. I'm not sure how I feel, pretty numb I guess. :(

Motor Neurone Disease can affect people young and old, and they don't know what causes it. It's a  a progressive, degenerative disorder that affects nerves in the upper or lower parts of the body. Symptoms may include difficulty swallowing, limb weakness, slurred speech, impaired gait, facial weakness, and muscle cramps. Usually the end days they can't breath or swallow. I've prayed, sent all the angels to visit her, and do hope she won't have much more pain.

Okay, a few days off then back into writing. I have so much I want to do. lol :) Okay, don't we all. :)

Suzanne :)
