I'm broken.

Well almost. lol So much for my weekend to Newcastle.

I had a fall on Friday night. I fell down six steps and landed on cement. How! I slipped and that was it. My back scraped a step, my left arm some how managed to become all bruised and scraped, my left leg at knee was sore and my right leg about the centre of the calf ached and ached. It was the right leg that we were concerned about. Perhaps broken. The fibula???

DH said he wanted to take me to hospital. But I didn't feel like waiting around the four hours in the middle of the night surrounded by cases much more urgent than mine. I know on a Friday night it is full of accident victims, fight victims, and basically it's horrendous. Besides I didn't want to whinge over a little sore leg.

Yesterday, after sleeping  less than two hours at broken intervals all night on Friday night, DH took me to hospital. To cut a long story short, Phew no broken bones.  I've got strong bones, and I've never broken a bone. I have severe internal bruising, muscle torn from the bone, and lots of bruises here and there, along with swelling. I couldn't walk. So now I have crutches. lol..

I'm sitting up in bed. :) Laptops are a wonderful invention aren't they. So lots of writing, and revisions are going to happen during the following week. :)

Thank you for stopping by. I think today was a better day, although I want to think it's all healed but I guess it will take a while. I'm lucky it wasn't worse.
In the meantime, I have finished judging comps, went over a few chapters of revsions, and reading. So I'm getting lots done. I need to so I can get started on the Na No soon. :)

Aww honey feel better soon. If you plan on falling down any more stairs, would you do it at my house? I could use a little bit of you rubbing off on me.

Thank you everyone. It seems the past week is a little blurry. lol.. I'm healing well, and today is a painfree day. I'm even attempting to walk without crutches.

The human body has amazing ability to heal itself, hasn't it. :)
