Gona Have Fun

SATURDAY
On Saturday we headed for the beach and it was like Fijian waters, with the same idylic temperture inside and out. We both got a little burnt, not too bad though, but enough to have a pinkish tone. lol.. Although we had a beach umbrella and suncreen on, I think it was because I didn't want to get out of the water. I floated over those swells feeling like I was actually in Fiji or Hawaii. It was so serene.

This is not the usual beach we use to go to. This one is a little further south, about five minutes. It's protected from the north easterly breeze. Well, I call it wind, but others say breeze. I don't like wind, or too much breeze. I love the humidity, the tropical weather we are having and have been having for the last month. It's glorious. Every second or third afternoon we are getting heavy showers and the smell of summer is so fragrant in the air.

This is the other end of the one above. So deserted a Paradise Just for Two. :)

SUNDAY VALENTINES DAY

I had a beautiful Valentines day and night. I forgot the camera on Sunday night, but nevertheless, it was a lovely romantic dinner right beside the blue water. A lush tropical night. What else could I ask for. Ahhhhh.....:)

During the day on Sunday, we had a lovely picnic down by the river, with prawns and wine. I just looovvveeee prawns. :)

It was another beautiful day in Paradise. The water was so blue and flat. Ahmmmm...:)

That wraps up my weekend. How was yours?

TUESDAY Look what was waiting for me on my walk this morning. This Goanna was certainly having fun once he climbed up that tree. His eye didn't leave the camera, or was it me. Yikes. lol

I jumped out of my skin. I think we both got a fright. He was on the track to the beach, I slammed to a halt and he skiddered up the nearest tree. Seeing he got just as much of a shock as I did, I asked him to pose for my camera. I'm glad he stayed up the tree. There is another that lives in the area and he is much larger, very large. Sometimes I think it's related to the crocodile. lol. Its gigantic. One day I might get a photo of him if I'm lucky, but he's pretty damn quick.

This one is relatively small. I'll have to be careful next time I walk through the track to the ocean. There are so many of them in the bush. I usually don't take any notice until I hear them rustle through the scrub. I do get a fright now and again. lol.. But nothing will stop me getting out and enjoying a fast paced walk. Not even big Daddy Goanna. lol.

Okay, back to work for a few days. I'll be stuck in writing land after the housework, washing ironing and all that lovely stuff. But I love a clean house. After that I'm organised. :) Have a great day, week and enjoy whatever it is that you do.
Suzanne. :)

Hell Suzanne,
Do you walk amongst them. I'm sure I wouldn't. That one is big enough, how big is daddy? lol
Love your pics btw.

I'd rather that than a spider.

Gorgeous photos. We're still shivering in sub-zero temperatures, so it's good to see how the other half's living.

:-)

Wow, beautiful pictures. I wish I lived there. Where I live we have to deal with cold and snow for a few more months, and the closest beach is about 2 hours drive and so over-crowded it's not worth going there. You're vary lucky.

Great photos, Suz. Blissful scenery.

I encountered a monster sand goanna on the golf course a few weeks ago. My ball landed about three inches from its head and I had to wait at a distance until it decided it'd had enough of holding up play and moseyed up a tree. Wish I'd had a camera. That thing was HUGE!
